about Us

Matsena Accountancy & Advisory (Pty) Ltd was founded in 2016.

We hold an extensive experience and knowledge on, Financial Reporting, PFMA, MFMA, GRAP, IFRS, IAS, SCM and contract audits.

Compilation engagements on financial statements;

At Matsena Accountancy & Advisory, we perform these engagements in accordance with International Standard on related services (ISRS 4410) (Revised) as issued by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB)

Our set of financials statement are prepared in accordance with the Companies act and regulations of South Africa, Public Finance Management Act, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other accounting acts

Our team

It is managed and run by Mr Masia Lawrence Matsena. Mr Matsena holds an extensive knowledge gained over a period of years as Financial Manager, Management Accountant, Project and Cost Accountant, Cost Accounting Manager, Tax & Accounting Manager, Budgets and Procurement Controller.

Mr Matsena holds a BCom Accounting degree; he is also an Associate of South African Institute of Chartered Accountants through Accounting Technician South Africa AT(SA) and a Tax Practitioner.

Mr Matsena plied most of his trade at state owned companies (SOE’s) including Eskom, Transnet, Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), National Research Foundation (NRF) and Denel and as well as consulting at Local Municipality.

We have a dedicated team of consultants and chartered accountants who work as freelancers on a project-by-project basis as and when required.
